Walk around the Site

A successful day was held on 20 June 2010 with over 150 people joining the Committee of the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens on the site.

A scale model was on display displaying the concept design for the site, including the scented garden, the sculpture garden, the Janet Cosh and Louisa Atkinson walks and the children's garden.

Ian Prior brought his collection of photographs showing birds which he has observed on the site over the past few months.

Guided walks were given by Friends of the Botanic Gardens around the site, explaining the features on the site to be enhanced by the Botanic Garden design. Great interest was shown in the Ponds of Reflections, the series of existing ponds created by Wingecarribee Shire Council nearly 10 years ago on the site.
