Working Bee to mulch the trees, 9th October 2010

A working bee was held on Saturday 9th October to mulch the trees planted by the official guests and dignitaries the week earlier.

Chris and Charlotte Webb were pleased to see the volunteers arriving at 10 am to undertake the first working bee for the new Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens. Ten keen supporters turned up on the site at 10am, wheelbarrow and shovel in hand ready for a morning of work. Thanks to Nick and Christine Campbell-Jones, Ian Roxby, Ron Murray, Ted Duncan, Clive and Meg Probyn, Les Musgrave and Judy Keast

Where others walk their dog on a Saturday morning, Ron Murray walked his wheelbarrow all the way from home! After 30 minutes the task was complete - all trees mulched and time for a cup of tea and scones prepared by Jacqui Page and Ros Craig.
